These terms apply when you access the MateMCP public website, account portal, hosted Relay/control-plane services or related software (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What MateMCP does
MateMCP connects compatible AI clients to Agents running on computers you control. The Service provides authentication, routing, scope enforcement, approval coordination and supporting account features. MateMCP does not increase, restore or bypass an AI provider's usage quotas, subscription limits or access controls.
Your account and connected devices
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure, maintaining accurate account information, choosing which Agents to enroll and selecting the scopes granted to each connection. You must be authorized to enroll and operate each computer and to access the files, accounts, networks and systems exposed through it. You are responsible for reviewing approval requests and for revoking access that is no longer needed.
Acceptable use
You must not use MateMCP to violate laws, infringe another person's rights, access systems without authorization, distribute malware, evade legitimate security controls, or interfere with the Service. Do not use the Service to bypass usage limits or terms imposed by an AI provider or other third party. You are responsible for complying with the terms and policies of the AI clients, providers, websites and applications you connect.
Local execution and risk
Agent operations run with the operating-system permissions of the local Agent process and can have significant effects, including modifying or deleting files, executing commands, changing application state or transmitting information to external services. Scopes and approval controls reduce risk but do not make every operation safe or guarantee that an AI-generated action is correct. Review permissions carefully, keep backups and do not expose sensitive projects to an AI client unless you intend to authorize that access.
Third-party services
The Service may interoperate with third-party AI providers, identity providers, hosting providers and software. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. MateMCP is not responsible for their availability, policies or actions.
Availability, changes and suspension
We may change, limit, suspend or discontinue parts of the Service for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service or third parties, or to address a violation of these terms. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent compatibility with every AI client.
Software and intellectual property
Open-source components are provided under the license included with the relevant source distribution. These terms do not replace or expand those licenses. Names, branding and hosted-service materials remain with their respective owners.
Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure in every environment or suitable for a particular purpose. You remain responsible for your devices, backups, permissions, AI-provider accounts and actions performed through your Agents.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the MateMCP maintainers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits, or damage arising from local execution, third-party services or use of the Service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version on this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms to the extent permitted by law. For questions or support, visit the Support page.
